Yes. It’s true. We have 2 vehicles at our home – and 3 people that live here. Guess who gets the vehicles? The Men. Guess who is always stranded? Yes. Me.
I’m pretty independent and lucky for my guys I don’t need much help with anything – but they insist I stay at home ALL THE TIME – without as much as a “time out” or anything. And this “independent” thing is getting old. I mean – when you are that way – you don’t need to go anywhere very often and your needs are small – very easily satisfied, etc. etc. But ONCE in a while I would like to use my car – without having to track down my eighteen year old son to do it!!
Once in a while they let me have my car and let me out for a few hours – wouldn’t want to spoil me or anything. So I will be happily enjoying my freedom, doing a little shopping – chatting with a friend – and then I will get a frantic text or call from either my husband or son – (mostly my son) wondering WHERE I AM?? The nerve. He keeps me on a very short leash.
So here I am again – trying to get my car to go to theater class – and Shawn has some flimsy excuse about being in school or something – and it’s like 20 degrees out there – so there is NO WAY I’m walking to get it! No I will be late and that will be the best I can do today. I do so love my car – and I miss it terribly – and when I finally get to use it – it smells like a guys locker room. Nasty.
Just thought I’d share while I’m sitting here waiting…and WAITING.
Have a great day!
God Bless

We have two cars and only two drivers now but my dh sometimes takes my car because he doesn’t want to get gas. He has a stick and I am not comfortable driving a stick. So I’m stranded too.
