Musings From A Musical Mind

29 Reasons

This morning with my morning coffee I received a note from Greg – my husband, partner, lover and friend for 29 years today.  The note was just entitled:

29 Reasons Why I Love You

I would love to share these with you – but it is simply inappropriate to do so – they are for me alone – all the things he loves about me that are unique and personal for me to hear.  I did not need much from him – my needs are pretty simple – I don’t demand flowers, candy, gifts or any other monetary things that are unique to anniversary celebrations – and although he has lavished these things on me in the past – he knows they are not important to me.  I would rather have this note – with 29 reasons. ♥

I want to encourage you today – the ‘little things’ are sometimes the most effective.  Everyone can write a love note – everyone can do a simple act of kindness – everyone can think of something unique and special without spending any money at all.  Speak a love language of the heart – and maybe come up with your own 29 reasons – today.

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband, Greg ♥

God Bless

  1. Happy Anniversary to both of u !
May you have a wonderful, lovely life ahead!! 🙂

This post is so meaningful that I was sorry it ended so short! 🙂

  2. Happy Anniversary Cindy and Greg! It’s great that you have such a wonderful life together. Enjoy another 29!! Yay!! My husband and I will celebrate our 29th on Valentines Day 2011. I will remember to write down 29 things if not more for him. Thanks for the idea. Enjoy your day. Take care.

  3. You are indeed blessed, Cindy!

  4. Happy Anniversary, you two! I cherish the long-term relationships of my friends. They are so rare these days and that’s such a shame. One thing I always love with my students is the reaction I get when I tell them I’ve been married for well over 30 years. You would think that they would shriek about how old I am, but no. . . without a doubt, the response from at least one of them is always, “To the same man???” Of course, it’s accompanied with a look of sufficient horror on their faces. ROFLOL

Enjoy the rest of your day! And make this upcoming year the best ever!

    • “To the same man????” That made me laugh right out loud!! In some ways – Greg is the same man – but luckily he’s learned to change and grow and adapt – so he’s in some ways NOT the same man – which is good – because I’m not the same young girl he married!!

It is rare – and it’s wonderful! Thanks Carla!

Let’s keep doing the “little things” in our relationship that keep us fresh and alive – I love you babe!
(BTW, these were only the “top 29” things…there are plenty more where those came from!)
