Musings From A Musical Mind

Music guitar

This is for my daughter – the #1 song on the charts for the year she was born – 1987.

Where were you when you first heard this song?  Are you old enough to remember?

Enjoy and God Bless!

Comments on: "Faith (George Michaels Style)" (11)

  1. Let’s see…1987. I was 14 and I loved this song. But I never understood why George Michael loved his hindquarters so much. Still, a great song.

  2. I remember this one! Am I old enough to remember? Hardy Har Har. I was married for 15 years at the time. 🙂 I believe we were back in Philadelphia by then; in fact, I know we were and about to leave again.

  3. I’ll be honest, I was more of a Wham! fan. 🙂

  4. I love this song, but I think you’re right, JoJo…we look at things differently as we age…

  5. There are many songs about having faith, but they talk about having faith in a man or in yourself. I never realized that back then. Now I listen with an ear to hear that which the song or person professes to put their faith in. Funny how you look at things differently over the years.

    • Yes it’s true – it’s a different type of “faith” – but in some ways – it is talking about the same thing too – faith is like “hope” after all 🙂

  6. I was living in the fast lane of life at the time. Yes, you already know, I loved the song and the beat. I’m thankful God gave me an exit to get out of that fast lane, I most certainly wouldn’t be here now otherwise. Thanks for the memories!

    • That made me smile, Floyd 🙂 I still love George Michaels music – it’s timeless and for me doesn’t have any bad memories of the fast lane – I was never in it – I think I’ve become more rebellious as I’ve gotten older 😉
