Musings From A Musical Mind

Brain Cramps

Foot! blush with shame!

Last night while in bed – I was lying very still, trying to sleep – when all of a sudden I started to get an annoying tensing up in my foot.  It was the precursor to a foot cramp.  You know the kind – you can’t get rid of it unless you get up from your comfortable position of ALMOST being asleep – and have to STAND on the stupid thing.

It DEMANDED my immediate attention.  I could not simply “will” it away.

I tried to concentrate really hard – and it seems the more I concentrated on it – the more it became something I had to take care of.

This is a little like life, isn’t it?

When was the last time the “necessary” took over?  Did you try to concentrate on something else – hoping it would go away?  Did you end up having to give it your full attention – even though at the time it was annoying and inconvenient?

I think this is what a brain cramp is like.  It hurts – it’s painful.  It reminds us that we must take care of something – whether we want to – or not.  It is simply a way of getting our attention – right or wrong.

Do you have brain cramps?  Foot cramps?  Please share 🙂

God Bless

  1. I don’t get brain cramps but sometimes that one marble in there does bang around until I pay attention.

  2. LOVE the picture!

For the last 30yrs I’ve tried to ignore my health issues, seeing as no dr would see fit to help me with them. Unfortunately, the symptoms only worsened and increased in number until I can no longer really function. So now, with no health insurance and no dr here in ARIDzona, I can no longer avoid the issue. I am forced to go out and have tests done and I have a Naturopath I’ve spoken to so I can finally get some relief. While I don’t want to spend the money or take the time, I think God is leading me to someone who can help.

    • I am praying for you JoJo that you will receive the answers to help you feel better. After awhile – we cannot ignore when something is wrong, can we? Good for you!
