I love going to get pedicures. Who doesn’t? It’s a wonderful little treat for my feet and when done right it is also very relaxing! But my feet are REALLY SENSITIVE and TICKLISH!! So when they scrub, scrub, scrub – I giggle, giggle, GIGGLE!!
The result is ALWAYS worth the pain and tickles though 🙂 I would never be without regular pedicures again. So great for overall foot health!
But for years – they have been asking me – “are you getting a manicure too”? And I ALWAYS said “no thank you”. I play piano – have to keep my nails short so they don’t click on the keys – wash my hands a lot and basically am really hard on my hands. Bad ripped and torn cuticles – jagged nails – the works. I always thought, “at least I can have pretty toes :)” And it never bothered me.
Oh I’ve had the occasional manicure – I even had acrylic nails one time – and I HATED THEM! But without them my nail polish never stayed around for more than a couple of days – lots of nicks – it never seemed worth it.
I learned about gel nails. This polish is heavy duty and even lasts a long time for tough customers like me!! I was skeptical to try them – but they insisted that they would last me several weeks. Here are my french gel nails after three weeks:
I must admit – I’m AMAZED they lasted more than ONE WEEK!! I was instructed to always put nail oil on my cuticles and that has really helped. I keep a bottle of it on my desk and every time I go to my desk, one of the first things I do is put oil on each nail cuticle. These pictures are untouched with no oil on and to me they look so much better than they ever have. A professional manicure is worth it. I highly recommend the gel polish. Not a chip on them! In three weeks!
It’s such a little thing. But this little thing brings a lot of happiness. Little things are important too! What is your little thing?
