Yesterday while driving to church on a busy 4-lane road – I saw something crossing the road up ahead. Greg was going pretty fast and I couldn’t get the words out fast enough to tell him what I was seeing – I could only point and say “GREG!!” and finally he saw and slammed on the brakes. It was a mother duck leading her baby ducklings across the road. Luckily everyone saw us stop short and made way for them too – and as far as we know – they made it safely across.
Now just WHY she wouldn’t have any fear for herself or her babies is unknown. I have witnessed chickens and baby chicks doing the same thing. They are just not aware of the dangers of fast-moving cars. They just know they must get to the other side. Is it food that compels them over? Is it another body of water they need to get to? Are they following something else – another critter like themselves? Or do they just want somewhere different?
Are we really much different from they? Do you wander about – feeling compelled to do this and that – going on instinct, going for what looks good – feels safe and right? Are you following another? Or like me – do you just need a change, away from everything?
If you have ever felt compeled to head out into the vast unknown at times – then this next song is for you. Maybe God is whispering to you to just let go and try something new. Is He nudging you on? Are you open to change?
Enjoy and God Bless

Beautiful song, I always think no matter where I go, I never go alone! I go with GOD!
So nice to know!
One time we hit a bird who was too dumb to fly away.
Jana made me pray for the bird.
I can’t explain the logic, but she was crying, so…
Ricky – you crack me up! Don’t know whether to laugh or slug you!
